MT4 FX Alerts

If you have a smartphone and want to get alerts when you are on the go, then read on!

In order to get this running, you will need to have an iPhone or Android with the Metatrader 4 app installed. Then, you will need to have a desktop, laptop or VPS running Metatrader 4.

First, I’m assuming that you already have Metatrader 4 installed on your desktop, laptop or VPS. In order for this to work, you will need to have your desktop Metatrader running so that it will fire the alert for each trade entry and exit.

The next thing that you need to do is install the Metatrader 4 app on your phone or tablet. Sign in to your broker account in the mobile app. You can use a demo or live account.

On your desktop, go to Tools –> Options. Then click on the Notifications tab.

Check the box to Enable Metatrader 4 Push Notifications. Then enter your MetaQuotes ID in the box. To get your ID, go to your mobile device and open your Metatrader 4 app.

Tap on the Settings tab at the bottom and tap on Messages. You will get a list of your messages and your MetaQuotes ID will be at the bottom.

Now take this ID and put it into your desktop Metatrader program. In your desktop MT4, you can add multiple IDs, separated by a comma. This is handy if you have a trading partner or multiple mobile devices. Click OK and you are all done. Be sure to click the Test button on your desktop to test it out before you start using it.

Whenever a trade is opened or closed you will receive a push notification on your phone. If you are using our free VPS then please email the ID to us and we’ll look after that for you.

FX50 SMS Alerts are no longer sent when trades are opened and closed when you become a paid subscriber so why not set it up now?
